Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN House Supervisor with NY RN licensure, ACLS/BLS/PALS certification, and at least one year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience.

Details

• Hospital setting with day surgery only, a 7-bed ER, and a 25-bed inpatient unit serving detox, swing, and medical patients
• Scattered bed unit with an average daily census of 19 and 25 total beds
• RN to patient ratio of 1:6 on days and 1:7 on nights, with LPN support for med pass or swing bed assignments
• Bariatric equipment available for rent as needed
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Respiratory Therapy services available Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM only

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience required

Additional Information

• Majority of patient census consists of subacute patients requiring rehab for debility, wound care, and long-term IV antibiotic therapy
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, pneumonia, chest pain rule-out, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, and ETOH/opiate withdrawal
• No formal dress code, though scrubs are required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
