American Traveler is hiring an experienced Wound Care RN for a day shift position requiring EPIC experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Provides wound, ostomy, and continence care across multiple inpatient units within an acute care hospital setting
• Sees patients for wound consults and evaluates pressure injuries as needed
• Conducts rounds on patients with wounds, pressure ulcers, and pressure injuries
• Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends required
• EPIC experience required
• Any scrub color is acceptable

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Wound care certification preferred, with willingness to obtain within a designated time period
• BSN preferred
• Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty required, with recent experience within the last 3 months

Additional Information

• Serves as a specialized resource for wound care management, including identification, assessment, treatment, and prevention
• Provides consultation to physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families on wound, ostomy, and continence issues
• Manages care for patients with draining wounds, fistulas, tubes, and altered skin integrity
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provides education and resources to patients, families, and staff on wound care management
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
