American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active CA RN license and 2+ years of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Acute care Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma Center hospital setting
• MS/Tele unit with potential to float to other ICU/Tele units as well as MS/Tele
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• No specific schedule requests or block scheduling accommodated
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred, though candidates with strong experience and less tenure may be considered
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though candidates with strong experience may be considered
• Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• ICU experience and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Documentation required for consideration includes DOB, RTO, valid state license, certification copies, references, and COVID vaccination status

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care within an acute care hospital environment
• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos covered, no visible piercings other than earrings, and earrings must not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoops
• Scrubs may be any color except camouflage or character patterns
• Orientation includes required training modules averaging 3-6 hours depending on specialty
• Up to 5 days of requested time off and 1 approved holiday off during the assignment
• Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at standard rate
• Previous facility staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
