Description

American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed RN Nurse Lead/Supervisor for a Surgery unit requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and 2+ years of charge/lead experience.

Details

• Surgery unit within a county-designated Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule with 5x8s, Monday through Friday, 0500-1700 with rotating start times
• No call requirements
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of charge or lead nursing experience required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience required
• Master's degree preferred
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required
• Trauma center experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff
• Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion
• Ensures cost-effective, high-quality patient care with a focus on positive outcomes and patient safety
• Participates in patient care as needed and fosters a culturally sensitive, family-centered care environment
• Conducts rounds to assess patient care needs and gather feedback on nursing services
• Develops strategies to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction
• Investigates and resolves patient care and operational issues
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• No prior license actions or restrictions permitted
• No radius rule applies; local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
