American Traveler is hiring an RN Nurse Lead for Labor and Delivery, requiring at least 5 years of RN experience, 2+ years supervisory experience, and Charge Nurse background with a CA RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital featuring a Level III NICU and county designated trauma center
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM-6:30 AM, with no set/rotating schedule
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC approved)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification within the last 2 years required
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required
• Charge Nurse experience required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience required
• Master's Degree preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provides unit-based leadership working collaboratively with Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff
• Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory judgment
• Coordinates individual and team care conferences to develop and revise patient care plans
• Monitors staff performance to ensure quality patient care and safety
• Makes patient rounds and solicits feedback on quality of nursing services
• Fosters a patient and family-centered care environment with attention to cultural diversity
• Develops strategies with leadership to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions with no radius rule
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
