Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Newborn Nursery position requiring at least 2 years of nursery experience and NRP certification.

Details

• Nursery is separate from the Postpartum unit, allowing mothers the option to send infants to the nursery
• Nursery has 2 NICU beds, part of a unit with 6 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, and 5 PP/WHS rooms
• Unit averages approximately 80-90 births per month
• Staff attend every delivery and provide care for infants
• Charting is done in Centricity, with medications charted in Paragon
• Night shift schedule at 12 hours per shift
• Every other weekend or every weekend schedule required
• No floating to other units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No charge nurse responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursery experience required
• Experience caring for sick babies required
• Ratios maintained per AWHONN standards

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to newborns and attend all deliveries
• Work within a dedicated nursery team separate from the Postpartum unit
