American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Pediatric Surgery role requiring 2+ years OR experience and both circulating and scrub nurse skills.

Details

• Pediatric Operating Room setting within a Trauma Level 1 pediatric facility
• Unit features 14 ORs plus 2 procedure rooms
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
• 13-16 week contract length

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Perform circulating nurse duties including monitoring patient status and documenting care in the EHR
• Provide scrub nurse support including maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and communication
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by facility location
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
