Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Infusion position requiring 2+ years of experience and NE or compact RN licensure at a Level 1 trauma acute care facility.

Details

• Outpatient Infusion Therapy unit within an acute care Level 1 trauma facility
• Sees approximately 50 patients per day with a desired staffing of 6-7 RNs daily
• Performs infusion of chemo, antibiotics, blood, iron, and fluids, as well as various injections
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, with shift start and end times varying (mostly 9:00 AM-5:30 PM)
• 8-hour shifts with no call requirements
• 40 hours per week guaranteed

Requirements

• Active NE or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Chemo certification highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must pass a pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation, which is open-book and covers skills taught during orientation with all necessary resources provided; a 90% score is required to pass
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove nails will result in contract termination
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for shorter assignments)
