American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU position requiring 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and DC RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 48-bed cardiac-focused stepdown unit
• Unit includes 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds, though cardiac surgery patients are not required
• Manages frequent IV drips including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
• Cares for patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
• Certifications required: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
