Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CVICU position requiring Level I trauma cardiac surgery ICU experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Cardiac surgery intensive care unit (CVICU/CSICU) setting at a Level I facility
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Uses Epic charting system
• Candidates may be required to float within scope if needed

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU/CSICU experience required at a Level I facility; 5-6 years preferred
• BSN preferred
• Prior Epic charting experience required
• Experience with conscious sedation preferred
• Experience with pulmonary artery lines, telemetry, and ventilators required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (diploma, ADN, or BSN accepted)
• 2 professional references required

• Care for critically ill cardiac surgery patients in an intensive care setting
• Complete required orientation modules during onboarding, to be finished by the end of orientation week
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy

• Background checks are reviewed by the facility prior to placement
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• Both former travelers and permanent staff must wait at least one year before returning to the facility as a travel candidate
• Time off requests must be submitted for consideration prior to start of assignment; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
