American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN with charge experience and Epic charting skills for a role requiring 1:1 patient ratio support in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room.

Details

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 3x12 hours (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Weekend rotation required (Friday-Sunday)
• Variable call requirements, typically one weekday and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Charge RN role with additional compensation for charge duties
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Vascular surgery skills including AAA repair, AV fistula repair, carotid angioplasty, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Cardiovascular surgery skills including aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, IABP, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, and LVAD/RVAD
• Scrub experience for vascular and cardiovascular surgery preferred
• Thoracic surgery experience including lobe resection, thoracotomy, and VATS preferred
• Copies of required certifications needed for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties for complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or float staff) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who cancelled or received a facility DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
• Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized prior to submission
• No RTO can be requested during the first week of the assignment (orientation week)
• Shift and schedule as listed are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
