Description

American Traveler is hiring a Hospice RN for an in-patient care center position requiring 2+ years of hospice experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a hospice in-patient care center providing short-term, home-like end-of-life care
• Care for patients who can no longer remain at home but wish to avoid hospitalization
• Provide comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour rotating night shifts, 7pm-7am
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts per month
• Full-time 12-week assignment

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for symptom management across diverse diagnoses

Additional Information

• Serve as both clinical caregiver and educator, helping patients define personal goals of care and coaching families on caregiving
• Function as a generalist across disease processes while specializing in symptom management
• Deliver compassionate, personalized end-of-life care in a supportive team environment
• Complete a 3-day orientation (8am-5pm) prior to transitioning to the night shift schedule
