Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg 3 Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring a compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Med Surg 3 unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• May be required to float to other departments based on competency and business need
• May be required to take on-call shifts during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact/CO) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
• Epic EMR experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Perform health teaching and counseling for patients
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor ongoing therapy and treatment plans
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
