American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift float pool role requiring at least 1 year of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit position
• Part of a float pool covering Medsurg units
• Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00-07:30
• 36 or 48 hour shift options available
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Uses Omnicell medication system
• Uses Cerner for documentation
• Uses SBAR communication system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with any charting system required
• Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Experience with blood product administration
• Experience with peripheral line care and management
• Experience with PICC line management
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across multiple Medsurg units as part of a float pool team
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and eligible at a reduced pay rate
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
