American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN with at least 3 years of CVOR circulating experience for a high-acuity cardiovascular surgery program requiring a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a nationally-recognized Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery program
• Cardiovascular Operating Room with 12 suites averaging 20 cases per day
• Circulate for a wide range of cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, thoracic and cardiac robotics, peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid TEVAR/EVAR/TAVR, Impella, IABP, and ECMO
• Work alongside approximately 25 surgeons who regularly operate in the OR
• OR tech support available; no charge nurse or house supervisor role
• Day shift schedule, 6:45am-3:15pm, Monday through Friday
• Facility provides 24/7 in-house coverage with call needs varying by staffing
• Weeknight and weekend call required, minimum 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month, with potential for more
• Mandatory call/standby requirement with a 30-minute response time
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR circulating experience required
• Scrubbing not required for RNs, but prior scrub experience preferred
• BSN not required for this position
