American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a high acuity 12-hour night shift position requiring telemetry competency and experience with trachs, vents, and BiPAP.

Details

• High acuity Med Surg / Respiratory Care Unit with 16 beds
• Patient population includes COPD, PNA, CHF, DKA, DM1&2, pleural effusions, and pneumothorax cases requiring chest tubes and Pleurex drainage catheters
• Patient ratios typically 4-5, occasionally 6
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration (temporary license not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Critical Care RN experience considered if fluent with Med Surg ratios and acuity
• Experience with trachs, vents, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen required
• Tele competency required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Updated resume documenting 2+ years of specialty experience and travel history required for consideration
• Skills checklist matching specialty required
• Driver's license with address matching demographics required
• NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses required

• Provide direct patient care on a high acuity Med Surg / Respiratory Care unit
• Weekly orientation provided
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate
• Returning perm staff eligible to apply as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• 3 professional references required once committed, including 2 from leadership
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
