American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Intermediate care unit position on night shift, open to candidates with a compact or IN RN license.

Details

• 22-bed intermediate care unit with mixed medical diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1 with 24/7 unit leadership support
• Third shift schedule, 6:30p-7a
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Deliver holistic, patient and family-centered nursing care across all phases of the nursing process
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop prioritized care plans, and coordinate treatment with the interdisciplinary team
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges, including discharge teaching and coordination with case management
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, including patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTI prevention
