American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Neuro RN for a night shift position on a 22-bed intermediate care unit, open to candidates with no prior experience.

Details

• 22-bed intermediate care unit with 3-4:1 patient ratios and 24/7 leadership support
• Mixed medical diagnoses patient population
• Third shift schedule, 6:30p-7a
• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document according to hospital policy
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Provide patient and family-centered education and discharge teaching
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Promote a healing, patient-centered environment through nursing excellence
