American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg - Neuro intermediate care unit, offering an opportunity for candidates with an IN or compact RN license and no prior experience required.

Details

• 22-bed intermediate care unit with mixed medical diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1 with 24/7 unit leadership support
• Night shift schedule, 6:30p-7a, three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills needed for a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members as appropriate
