American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Neuro intermediate unit position offering night shifts and no prior experience required.

Details

• 22-bed intermediate care unit with mixed medical diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1 with 24/7 leadership support
• Night shift schedule, 6:30p-7a
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift (36 hours weekly)

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per unit compliance
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and related medical equipment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced setting

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately to other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Promote a healing, patient-centered environment consistent with evidence-based nursing practice
