American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Neuro RN for a 22-bed intermediate care unit offering night shift hours with no experience required.

Details

• Work in a 22-bed intermediate care unit with 24/7 leadership support
• Mixed medical diagnoses patient population
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1
• Night shift schedule, 6:30p-7a, 3 days per week
• 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or Compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings per scope of practice and hospital policy
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Case Management
