American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Health RN for a Monday-Friday day shift assignment requiring 2 years of recent experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in the Occupational Health unit of a hospital environment
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule from 0730-1600
• One weekend shift required on November 22nd
• May perform fit testing, urine drug screens (UDS), flu vaccines, and oral swab collections
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active DC RN license in hand required
• Current BLS certification required
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skills in venipuncture/phlebotomy, specimen collection and labeling, urinalysis, IM medication administration, and mask fit testing
• COHN certification, immunization experience, fit testing experience, phlebotomy experience, and drug testing/chain of custody experience are all helpful

Additional Information

• Perform occupational health duties including patient assessments, health questionnaires, and history/allergy documentation
• Responsible for office duties, authorization forms, and chart preparation
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• RTO is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract, and it must be submitted with the initial application
• Nurses with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed and candidates must be comfortable proceeding without one
