American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Endoscopy Center position requiring IL RN licensure and at least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Work in an outpatient endoscopy center performing routine GI procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
• Provide direct patient care across prep, intra-procedure, and recovery phases
• Deliver moderate sedation under physician direction
• Assist CRNA during cases requiring anesthesia involvement
• Care for patients in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
• 4 day shifts per week at 9 hours each, with rotating start times typically between 0630 and 0800
• 36 hours per week
• Float requirement between the Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Department
• No weekend shifts required
• No holiday shifts required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in IV insertion, patient education, health history review, and nursing documentation
• Experience in delegation and collaboration with unlicensed personnel

Additional Information

• Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Modify care plans based on continuous evaluation of patient status
• Responsible for reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents
• Collaborate with unit staff to provide care to outpatient populations
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel as appropriate
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Not a high-risk department assignment
