American Traveler is hiring an RN First Assist for a CVOR position requiring proficient endoscopic vein harvesting and prior CVOR experience.

Details

• Operating room setting supporting cardiovascular surgery (CVOR)
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call requirement of 12-18 days per month
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 weekends per month
• Float coverage required for general FA duties across ortho, vascular, gyn, thoracic, and general surgeries when cardiac cases are not applicable
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• RNFA or STFA certification accepted
• CVOR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, with 5 years strongly preferred
• Must be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration, or exemption request submitted within 48 hours of signing
• Supervisor-level references required

Additional Information

• Provide first assist support across a variety of surgical specialties including cardiac, ortho, vascular, gyn, thoracic, and general surgery
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days during the assignment
