American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an ADN/ASN and active RN license, with no prior experience required.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Cardiac ICU (CVCU) caring for pre/post open-heart surgery patients under a universal bed concept, remaining in the same private room from surgery through discharge
• Also cares for general ICU, complex cardiology, IABP/Impella, and post-cardiac arrest cooling patients
• 1st shift schedule, 6:30a-7p, every other weekend
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though preferred

Additional Information

• Clinical educator provides customized orientation for new staff
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and coordinate discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
