Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a Days shift position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a full-spectrum Emergency Center with a separate Chest Pain Center
• Days shift, 7a-7p
• 13-week assignment
• May be required to work as charge nurse or preceptor if needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• At least 2 years of ED experience required
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
• No history of actions or hits on license or background

Additional Information

• Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay
• Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed
• Provide patient education and document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses
• Serve as an essential member of the patient care team delivering direct and indirect care
