American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and expertise in mechanical circulatory support and advanced heart failure management.

Details

• Cardiac ICU (CCU) setting supporting patients on mechanical circulatory support devices such as Impella, durable VAD, ECMO, and IABP
• Patient population includes multisystem failure with specialty focus on advanced heart failure and fresh post-op cardiac surgical patients
• 16-bed unit with a 1:2 clinician-to-patient ratio
• 36 hours per week on a day/night rotating schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required, including 2+ years of Level 1 trauma center experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support (MCS) highly preferred
• Expertise in advanced heart failure management required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support to complex cardiac patients including those on advanced circulatory support devices
• Local candidates accepted, but those residing within 60 miles of the facility will receive a reduced rate
