Description

American Traveler is seeking a M/S Tele Float Pool RN with active MA licensure and telemetry experience to float between multiple hospital units on a rotating shift schedule.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule with Day/Evening/Night rotation and every other weekend required
• Rotating shifts between days and evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371 bed hospital
• Care for ED boarder patients, act as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading tele strips
• Performs telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• Uses TR Band for procedures
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and tele strip interpretation skills required
• TR Band experience required
• EPIC EMR charting experience preferred

• Must float between multiple Med/Surg Telemetry units and other departments as needed based on staffing needs
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Free on-site parking available for this position
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate compared to standard travel pay
