American Traveler is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an Operating Room position in Maine, requiring 2+ years of experience and current CST certification.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital's Surgical Services department,
• Facil-Handles a 3-room OR plus 1 cysto room
• Specialties include General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Podiatry, and Cataracts surgeries
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Storz, Conmed, Steris, and Medivator equipment
• EMR system: EPIC
• Day shift schedule, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Call requirements include 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend every 4-5 weeks
• Weekend call coverage runs Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM
• Floating required within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active CST certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CST/OR experience required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide surgical technologist support across multiple OR specialties including General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Podiatry, and Cataracts
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• OR-specific shoes that are only worn in the OR are required
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) will be considered local, with a corresponding adjustment to travel rate eligibility
• Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at the manager's discretion
