American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 30-bed unit in Lexington, KY, requiring a KY or compact RN license and no prior experience necessary.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed medical surgical/telemetry unit specializing in telemetry, fast turnaround surgery, urology, bariatrics, and orthopedic overflow
• Supports the facility's Bariatric Center of Excellence patient population
• Patients are primarily transferred from the ED and PACU
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week
• 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of hire
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team, including Case Management, for discharge planning
