American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Tele Float position requiring travel experience and openness to floating to SD/PCU or ICU units.

Details

• Float position across MS/Tele, SD/PCU, and potentially ICU units based on skills and facility need
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
• Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (ACLS required to float to SD/ICU)
• NIHSS certification may be obtained after offer
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of start date
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management required

Additional Information

• Care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Floating assigned in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience of the worker, with appropriate orientation provided per Joint Commission standards
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule with auto-offer process
• Holiday RTO requests will not be accommodated during specified major holidays and holiday weeks throughout the assignment period
• RTO requests may be addressed directly with the manager onsite after assignment start using the facility RTO form
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
• Previous perm staff cannot return to the same campus within 24 months but may return to a different Covenant Health campus after 12 months
• Related or married travel team members cannot be placed on the same unit
