American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Patient Care Coordinator for an Outpatient Foregut Surgery Clinic, requiring Epic outpatient charting experience and prior ambulatory care experience.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within a multi-disciplinary Digestive Health Center specializing in esophageal/foregut surgery
• Work alongside a close-knit team of MDs, APPs, RNs, MAs, and schedulers
• Patient population includes both benign and malignant foregut conditions requiring complex, ongoing care
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract length
• May float to affiliate hospitals nearby per unit needs
• Uses Epic outpatient charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact), OR license required for submission
• BSN required
• BLS certification required (AHA - Traditional; RQI not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior ambulatory/clinic experience required
• Epic outpatient charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• GI Clinic and Endoscopy experience preferred
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication reconciliation, and interpretation of lab results
• Experience with telephone triage, chart preparation, and pharmacy communications
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must complete Relias exams with a score of 85% or higher
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Provide care coordination, patient assessment, triage, and medication management support to foregut surgeons
• Perform medical record review, follow established protocols, and assist with patient scheduling
• Monitor diagnostic results and patient care progress as directed by providers
• Participate in quality reviews and provide patient education and support throughout treatment
• Work closely with a specialized surgical team managing complex esophageal/foregut cases
• Floating to affiliate hospitals nearby may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate with no mileage radius restriction
• RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot exceed 2 weeks
• Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must have been separated for 6 or more months to be eligible to return
• First-time travelers may be considered based on position eligibility
