American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit position requiring MD or compact RN licensure and IV skills.

Details

• Work in the Carol Ball Medicine Unit, a 38-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and substance abuse cases, as well as medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
• RN to patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends
• PCT to patient ratio is 1:10
• 13-week assignment with a 36-hour work week
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand
• Telemetry Med/Surg unit experience required
• IV skills required
• Comparable facility size experience required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to medical patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and psychiatric comorbidities on a telemetry-monitored unit
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating (every other) and as-needed basis
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
