Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Infusion RN with recent inpatient experience to provide infusion therapy for patients with infectious diseases.

Details

• Acute care infusion unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes infectious disease cases requiring IV placement and antibiotic administration
• No oncology or chemotherapy patients
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or infusion specialty required
• Inpatient experience required
• Chemotherapy or oncology experience not required

Additional Information

• Administer infusion therapy including IV placement and antibiotic administration to patients with infectious diseases
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be requested prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward
