Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med-Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 3 years of med-surg experience with 1 year of pediatric experience.

Details

• 20-bed medical-surgical unit caring for adult and pediatric patients
• Typical staffing ratios of 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-COVID patients and 2:1 (max 3:1) for COVID patients
• 12-hour night shifts on an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Up to one on-call shift per week may be required
• Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed
• May float to other qualified departments for patient care or task-based support such as answering call lights and phones
• May be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of med-surg experience required
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a med-surg unit serving adult geriatric and pediatric patients
• Attend staff meetings as required
• Maximum of two shift call-offs allowed
• RTO requests for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be approved
• Orientation is held on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline results in placement in the next scheduled orientation
