American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN for a Level III Trauma Center MICU, requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry strip reading competency.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units, with ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5 when floated
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Night shift does not rotate
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU patient population
• Facility is a 400+ bed complex community hospital with 220 Med Surg beds in addition to ICU and Maternity units
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be considered
