American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift/EOW MICU position requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry strip reading proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
• Care for a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and Residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement, working 36 or 48 hours
• Night shift does not rotate
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU patient population with high acuity needs
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to be considered local
• RTO must be identified at time of consideration
