American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level III Trauma Center MICU position requiring 2+ years of continuous ICU experience, telemetry competency, and night shift with EOW commitment.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
• Care for a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients
• RN to patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• Night shift positions do not rotate
• Works 36 or 48 hours per week on night shift with every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement
• Shift hours are 19:00-07:30
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required; conditional licenses not accepted
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips (telemetry competency required)
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
