American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Psych position requiring a minimum of five years of relevant nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license.

Details

• Work in the Adult Psychiatric unit of a hospital environment
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 7:00pm-7:30am
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• Serve as the primary caregiver for a designated group of adult psychiatric patients throughout each shift
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify nursing interventions and care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
• Responsible for identifying and reporting safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in ongoing professional development
• Responsible for unit keys during the assignment, which must be returned to the facility upon completion
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Must take a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning to any facility within this health system
