American Traveler is hiring a Mother Baby/Postpartum RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of labor experience and current AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit (Mother Baby/Couplet Care) within a hospital setting
• Care for postpartum, nursery, antepartum, and newborn patients
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum/newborn care
• Patient ratios include postpartum 5-6:1 and nursery 5-6:1
• Uses GE fetal monitors
• EMR systems used include Meditech and CPN
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 4-week schedule

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Current AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of labor experience required
• Preferred experience includes LDRP background with high birth volumes

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care for postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients
• Work alongside a care team including labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and support staff
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• MIU nurses issued pink badges for infant security purposes
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this travel position
