American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a Level 1 Trauma emergency department, requiring an active IL RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week over 3 days
• 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, requiring onsite arrival within one hour of call
• No block scheduling available
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department setting
• Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies plans of care, and implements nursing interventions in collaboration with providers and families
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
• Reports and corrects safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
• Collaborates with peers to support professional development and knowledge sharing
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year
