American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring active MA RN licensure and strong critical care experience.

Details

• Work in the Neuroscience ICU (Lunder 6) of a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill adult patients with neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, spinal cord injury, and complex comorbidities with multisystem organ involvement
• 24-bed unit with an average census of 22
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:2
• 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night shift schedule
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of strong critical care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• 2+ years of neuro critical care nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to neuroscience ICU patients with complex, multisystem conditions
• Local candidates permitted, but must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate
• RTO requests must be disclosed prior to consideration
