American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma/Med Surg Telemetry unit position requiring a SD or compact RN license and Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on a Trauma/Med Surg Telemetry unit within a Level 1 trauma center
• 13-week assignment with Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Typical patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• May float to similar Med Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
• Uses Epic EMR/charting system

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN not required for this position
• Trauma or Level 1 trauma center experience preferred

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver individualized patient care
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinates and manages care for patients with complex needs, including patient assessment, education, and triage
• Delegates and supervises according to state practice act guidelines
• Promotes a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Local candidates may be accepted, though eligibility varies by department
