Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract, requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Block schedule approved
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Competent in cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia management, and CVA/stroke care
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation monitoring
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Not accepting candidates who reside in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
