American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Outpatient Surgery/OR position requiring 2+ years of experience and firm plastics surgery background.

Details

• Ambulatory OR setting within an outpatient surgery center
• Performs cases across multiple specialties including plastics, podiatry, general surgery, ENT, pediatric ENT, and oral surgery
• Plastics procedures include abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, fat grafting, free flap microvascular, and mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction
• Additional case types include cholecystectomy, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, endoscopic sinus procedures, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, and pediatric dentistry
• Monday through Friday schedule with day shift hours (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
• No call, no weekends, and no holiday requirements
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required in hand at time of submittal
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient surgery/OR service line required
• Firm plastics surgery experience required
• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
• Travel experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Must reside within 150 miles of the facility to be considered local for RN positions
• Local candidates are accepted under the radius rule
• Previous permanent staff must have a separation of at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or provide a completion plan within that timeframe
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen result upon arrival
