Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intensive Care Unit position specializing in neurologic critical care, requiring an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed ICU specializing in neurologic care, including stroke, neurosurgery, CRRT, and hypothermia protocols
• Care for post-TNK and mechanical thrombectomy stroke patients as well as EVDs
• Also treat medical patients including esophagectomies, DKA, and GI bleeds
• Typical patient ratio is 1:2
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for ICU patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family-centered education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and delegate tasks appropriately to team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
