Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring NC or compact RN license and the ability to circulate for C-sections and triage OB patients.

Details

• Work in a 6-bed Labor & Delivery unit with one C-section OR in a hospital setting
• Unit averages 100 deliveries monthly, collaborating with OBGYNs and midwives
• Responsibilities include managing laboring patients, circulating and assisting in C-sections, and recovering both labor and surgical patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Schedule is 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required, with 5 years of L&D experience highly preferred
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections and triage OB patients
• Point of care testing skills required

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Participate in patient education, care planning, and evaluation of outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
