American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele acute inpatient rehab unit position requiring PA licensure/fingerprints and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Acute Inpatient Rehab/MS-Tele unit of a community hospital setting
• Care for patients requiring orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and respiratory rehabilitation services
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Utilizes the Epic charting system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) and PA license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, blood/blood product administration, central line and PICC line care required
• Experience with anticoagulation, antiseizure, and diuretic medication administration required
• Experience with total joint replacement, mobilization techniques, and assistive devices preferred
• Experience with feeding tube management, PEG tube care, and swallowing precautions preferred
• Experience with tracheostomy care and stroke scale assessment preferred
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care within an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Perform fall risk assessments, infection prevention, and wound care management
• Conduct patient teaching and pain assessment/management
• Utilize specialty beds and pressure ulcer prevention protocols
• Must complete a pass/fail clinical exam with a maximum of 3 attempts for clearance
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required, which may involve travel exceeding 100 miles and must be completed within 1 week of contract signing
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no additional time off accepted after submission
• Interview availability of 3-5 days should be provided for prioritized consideration
