American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a strong cardiac background and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) of a hospital environment
• Heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
• Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including heparin and nitro
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand before start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong cardiac background required including experience managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response care to a cardiac/CVA patient population
• Complete facility orientation modules averaging 2-3 hours in the first 16 hours of orientation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
