American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring 5+ years of recent CVOR experience and call coverage participation.

Details

• Work in the CVOR service line within the Surgery unit of a hospital setting
• Perform surgical support for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, and may include impella, IABP, or adult ECMO
• TAVR procedures performed in the endovascular OR
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement or revision to endovascular procedures in the endovascular OR
• Service line comprises 4-6 ORs including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• 13-week assignment with a 10:30 AM-9:00 PM shift, 4 shifts per week on weekdays based on department need
• Call coverage required for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 5 years of recent full-time CVOR RN experience in a high-volume hospital setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal onboarding
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Candidates must be prepared to independently manage a high case volume with little to no onboarding time
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate depending on facility location
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role given the high experience threshold required
